Moss feels 'not wanted' without offer from Pats

Special to CB New England Patriots receiver Randy Moss, speaking for the first time since camp began, expressed frustration because the team has not offered him a new contract.

Moss, 33, entering the final year of a three-year deal, is scheduled to earn $6.4 million this season and said he thinks he deserves a new pact based on his production the past two seasons.

Revis ends holdout, agrees to new deal with Jets

CBSSpo just in time for the New York Jets to start their Super Bowl run.

All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis and the Jets agreed in principle to a four-year contract Sunday night, reaching a deal a week before the teams season opener.

The Jets wouldnt disclose financial terms of the deal, but the reported it was worth $46 million, including $32 million guaranteed.

O-line coach Gibbs abruptly quits on Seahawks

CBSSp A week before their season begins, the Seattle Seahawks are looking for a new offensive line coach after the sudden retirement of Alex Gibbs.

The veteran coach known for his success with zone blocking schemes stepped down on Saturday, just eight days before the Seahawks season opener against San Francisco.

A team spokesman says the 69-year-old Gibbs was "worn out."

Goodell reduces Roethlisberger ban to four games

CBSSpo Ben Roethlisbergers suspension has been cut from six games to four by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

The Pittsburgh Steelers star quarterback met with Goodell early Friday and was told he could return on Oct. 17 against Cleveland.

Roethlisberger was suspended in April for violating the leagues personal conduct policy, but Goodell said at the time he would review the players behavior over the next few months. Goodell was satisfied that the quarterback has followed the leagues guidelines and stayed out of trouble.

Cardinals give Leinart permission to seek trade

While rumors swirl that the Arizona Cardinals have been attempting to attract a trade partner for quarterback Matt Leinart, league sources told The Sports Xchange on Thursday that the four-year veteran and his representatives have been granted permission to seek potential suitors for a deal.
